Privacy Policy
Finance Calendar (“we”, “us”) operates the website financecalendar.net. This page explains what information is collected when you use the site, how it is used, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible.
1. Information we collect
- Account data (optional): if you create an account, we store your username, email address and any avatar/profile details you provide, via our authentication and database provider (Supabase). You do not need an account to view the calendar.
- Community content: messages you post in the chat or community/forum, and any price targets you submit, are stored and shown to other users.
- Preferences: language, filters and personalization settings are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and, if you are signed in, in your account.
- Usage data: aggregate, privacy-friendly analytics (page views and visits) via Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track individuals across sites.
2. Cookies and advertising
We show ads through Google AdSense. To do this:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu.

3. Market data and third-party services
Live prices, earnings, news and macro data are fetched from third-party sources (such as Yahoo Finance, Nasdaq, FRED, the ECB/Frankfurter and Google News) through a server-side proxy. These requests are made by our server and do not send your personal data to those providers. Embedded content (for example, the MarineTraffic live ship-traffic map) is provided by third parties subject to their own privacy policies.
4. How we use information
We use the information above to operate and improve the site, provide accounts and community features, remember your preferences, measure overall traffic, and display advertising. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Your choices
- You can use the calendar without an account.
- You can clear locally-stored preferences by clearing your browser storage.
- You can manage or delete your account by contacting us.
- You can control ad personalization through the links in section 2.
6. Data retention
Account and community content is kept while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your associated personal data, except where we are required to retain it.
7. Children
The site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “last updated” date above.
